Deep Eddy Pool

Built in 1916 and listed as a landmark on the National Register of Historic Places, Texas’ oldest outdoor swimming pool sits on the 78703 bank of the Colorado River, emptied and refilled each night with crystal-clear, 68˚, no-chlorine well water. No matter what you’ve heard, life in scorching Austin is unthinkable without your own cold swimmin’ hole.
